CME 2011 Women in Resources Awards

The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia (CME) is now accepting nominations for the CME Women in Resources Awards (WIRA) 2011.
On Friday 10 September at the Women in Mining and Resources WA – Mining your Career seminar, Kellie Parker, winner of the Outstanding Woman in the WA Resources Sector category of the 2010 WIRA proudly launched the second annual CME Women in Resources Awards (WIRA).
The awards encompass all aspects of the resources sector. Interested individuals and organisations are encouraged to apply before the closing date of Friday 10 December 2010.
Winners of the Women in Resources Awards 2011 will be announced at a breakfast presentation ceremony on 8 March 2011, the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day.
Award Categories
This year there are four categories in the CME Women in Resources Awards:
1. Outstanding Woman in the Resources Sector – Professional/Specialist
2. Outstanding Woman in the Resources Sector – Trade/Operator/Technician
3. Women in Resources Champion
4. Outstanding Company Initiative
Who Can Enter?
Categories 1 and 2 are open to all women in the WA resources sector.
Category 3 is open to both men and women in the WA resources sector.
Category 4 is open to all resource sector companies.
Companies are not limited in the number of entries they can submit.
Entries are currently being accepted until Friday 10 December 2010.
